Brandie Cesari

LSW

Brandie holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work as well as a Master’s Degree in Education and currently works full-time with teenagers as a high school teacher.  Before Brandie’s transition into social work, she was a television news reporter and is an award-winning journalist.  She spent time as an embedded reporter with our military troops overseas.  Her time in the Middle East took her to Baghdad, the Syrian border of Iraq, and to Kuwait; she saw just how family separation that comes with serving in the military impacts the family unit.  She also has experience working with hospice, bereavement, and older adults.  She and her husband have biological and adopted children and personal experience with parenting challenges associated with raising children with special needs and multiple disabilities.  She understands the complexities of family dynamics, the stress of a career and everyday life, and has experience working with adults and children living with childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, and autism.  Brandie enjoys working with children and families in crisis, survivors of trauma, divorce, separation, foster care, teenage depression, and more.  She believes in providing a safe compassionate non-judgmental space for healing and growth.
