After getting dual Bachelor's Degrees in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, Karissa completed her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to fulfil her lifelong goal of becoming a licensed addictions and mental health therapist. Karissa has approximately 6 years of experience working in the mental health field. Karissa has worked extensively with children living with Autism, anxiety, attention and emotional regulation issues; she also completed an internship at an intensive outpatient program for adults with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health issues. Karissa enjoys working together throughout the treatment process with patients of all ages, either individually, in couples/marriage counseling, or with the entire family.
